"Dogberries."   Dogberries are what Newfoundlanders call the berries of the American Mountain Ash (species: Sorbus americana a.k.a. Pyrus americana and Pyrus microcarpa).  Each individual berry is about 1/4" in diameter.  They are edible. Newfoundland Stamps U.S. Silver Dollar 1884, 38 mm in diameter Blossom on weed in our back yard.  It was about 1cm across.
