The JustPhotos.ca Business Card

My Equipment

The JustPhotos.ca business card depicts some of my equipment and a small sample of some of my photos.  I got my first film SLR in 1965.  My first digital camera was a Canon G2.  I then moved to a Canon 20D before getting into the professional line witt a Canon 1D Mark III.   I now have all those cameras plus a Canon 1D Mark IV.  My lenses include a Canon 300mm f/2.8L IS USM prime, a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM telephoto, a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 zoom, a Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM ultra-wide zoom, a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 prime, an MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro Photo, a Canon EF 180mm f/3.5L Macro USM, and Canon Extenders EF 1.4x II and EF 2x II.  Other equipment includes a Canon Speedlite 580EX flash unit, a Canon Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX, a Manfrotto tripod and monopod and Lowepro equipment bags and several Hoya S-HMC filters.

About My Photography

I'm a photographer because I love doing it.  A lot of the things that I photograph are for my own enjoyment.  In those cases, I'm aoften happy to give free copies to people who have an interest in my photos, especially when copies are requested by people who are depicted in the images.  On the other hand, I retain the copyright to all my photos, including the images that are given away.  That is mostly to discourage the images from being sold or used for commercial purposes by other persons who have not obtained my written authorization to do so.  For copyright purposes, my images are not public domain material.  My first book was published in August, 2008.  Even though I am selling the book for $24.95, it is not a commercial venture because that price doesn't produce any profit.  I did it for the fun of it and because of my love of macro photography.
